Karen B. McIntyre, R.N. is President and
co-founder of Veterans Information Services,
Inc. (VIS). She obtained her Associate Degree
in Nursing in 1980 and her Bachelor of
Science in Communication from Kennesaw
State University in 1995. Her nursing
experience includes both hospital and home
health settings. It was through her many years as a home health
nurse that she came to realize the frustration families experience when
faced with having to find, and pay for, the best care for their loved
ones.
Karen is also President of Assisted Senior Placement Services, Inc.,
which is a free referral service designed to help families in Georgia
find the most appropriate assisted living home. Over the past few
years she has traveled the country educating assisted living facilities,
families, and professionals about VA benefits and has personally
helped hundreds of families understand the complicated VA process.
Her expertise regarding the VA pension process has been recognized
by many state American Legion and Veteran’s Service offices
throughout the country.
Karen is a member of the Georgia Gerontology Society and is a
volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association.
Jay McIntyre is Vice President and
co-founder of VIS. Having spent 20 years in
the corporate world and 10 years as a private
business owner, he brings his business
experiences to the company. Jay comes
from a military family. His father spent his career in the Army,
serving in both WWII and Korea, retiring as a Lt. Colonel after 20
years. He has personal experience with the elderly and their care.
His mother lived the last few years of her life with Alzheimer's,
giving him first hand experience with what families go through in
coping with that disease. With his wife Karen, also a co-founder of
VIS, he has helped hundreds of Veterans and their widowed
spouses understand and obtain VA benefits.
Jay is also Vice President of Assisted Senior Placement Services,

family members.
Victoria Collier founded the Elder &
Disability Law Firm of Victoria L. Collier,
PC to serve the legal needs of senior
citizens when their health care needs
increase. The Firm specializes in Life
Care Planning, Disability Planning,
Medicaid Planning and Veterans Benefits
Planning. Victoria was the Chair of the Elder Law Committee of
the Atlanta Bar Association (2004-2005), is a Charter Member of
Georgia ElderCare Network, and is a member of the National
Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. She is the Vice Chair of the
steering committee to organize and implement the Georgia Chapter
of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Victoria served
6 years in the Air Force during Desert Storm and 3 years in the
Army Reserves JAG Corp.
Victoria spends a lot of time in the community educating families
and health care providers on the specific legal issues surrounding
aging and disability. Her philosophy is that each person is an
individual who deserves respect and the highest quality of life
possible, regardless of age or ability.

About the Company
The founders of VIS have over 12 years of collective experience
in educating, pre-qualifying, and assisting veterans and their

As such, they have provided educational seminars to both the
general public and professionals throughout the country.
